Vivacious…

Welcome to Denise Reed craziness of practical problem solving…this is the continuing saga of living in a world of entrepreneurs, creatives, and just being a part of some awesome business adventures taking flight. I’ll be sharing the highlights of what I experience in hopes that it will inspire you!
My first highly successful business adventure which continues to grow is The Concierge Office Suites. It’s a full-service office space in downtown Chattanooga, TN. We help cultivate businesses through providing a business environment that goes beyond “renting an office.” The whole concept is built around the idea of concierge services making it happen for our clients. The business was established in 1995, I was able purchase it in 2006. This business is beyond incubation. We’re full-on soaring.
We’re in the flap around stage of this business, and we've taken off. Let the craziness begin. My husband and I began a 40-acre commercial broiler poultry farm in 2014, Wing and a Prayer. We are celebrating it's successful sale in January of 2023.
I’m sure you’re sensing a theme here of flight. No, I’m not a pilot, at least for a literal plane. I do feel like a pilot for the businesses I’ve been involved in over the course of my life. I check the business flight path, equipment to get the job done, flight personnel to make it happen and away we go! This whole flying thing began when my parents told me I could do anything I set my mind to do. I remember watching my Dad fly off on business trips from the airport. I was fascinated by the whole experience ever since. I love to travel, meet new people, and encourage other people to soar beyond where they are in life. I've been speaking in public consistently since 2006 sharing what I've learned in hopes that I could help another business person avoid some pitfalls in their business. Pull up a comfy chair and check out my adventures here.

Secrets to Cultivating 7+ Year Client Loyalty
The Secret to 7-Year Client Loyalty: Lessons from Nearly 30 Years in Business
Recently featured in NashvilleVoyager, I shared the journey behind The Concierge Office Suites and what really keeps clients coming back year after year.
What Creates Lasting Business Relationships?
In today’s fast-paced business world, client relationships often feel more transactional than ever. Yet at The Concierge Office Suites, our clients stay with us for an average of nearly 7 years. One client just retired after 27 years with us. So what’s the secret?
The answer isn’t what most people expect – and it’s not about having the fanciest office space or the lowest prices.
From Employee to Owner: A Journey of Service
When I started at The Concierge Office Suites in 1999, I had no idea I’d eventually become the owner. The company was established in 1995, and I fell in love with the work immediately. Every day was different – from coordinating meetings to managing complex projects for clients across industries.
By 2006, when the opportunity arose to purchase the business, I knew I had found my calling. Not because I wanted to own real estate, but because I was passionate about serving people and helping them achieve their goals.
The “Business Fairy Godmother” Philosophy

I often tell people I’m really a “business fairy godmother” – and I mean that seriously. My whole existence has been about serving people both personally and professionally. At TCOS, we don’t just provide office space; we provide the magic of making things happen for our clients.
Here’s what sets us apart:
- We’re more than a box with a door – We’re a team of Business Concierges who connect clients with resources
- Every client’s “more” is different – We customize our approach to each client’s unique needs
- We handle the details – So clients can focus on revenue-generating activities
- We create work-life balance – Not just for our clients, but as a core business philosophy
The Real Secret: It’s About Flow
After nearly 30 years in business, I’ve learned that success is about flow:
- Service flow – Your services must meet your clients’ needs
- Vendor flow – Your vendors must meet your needs to serve clients
- Cash flow – Money must flow both in and out efficiently
- Communication flow – People must know you exist and what you offer
- Improvement flow – Constantly asking “How might we make this even better?”
Why Chattanooga is Our “Goldilocks” Location

We’re not in New York, Atlanta, or Los Angeles – and that’s exactly the point. Chattanooga offers the perfect balance:
- Geographic advantage – Two hours from Nashville and Atlanta airports
- Cost effectiveness – Reasonable living and business expenses
- Quality of life – Four seasons, outdoor recreation, vibrant business community
- Strategic location – Halfway between the northern and southern points of the eastern U.S.
Looking Forward: AI and the Future of Service
The business world is changing rapidly. AI is creating opportunities the current workforce isn’t prepared for. That’s why our team is immersing itself in AI technology – not to replace human service, but to enhance it.
We’re built to serve these changes because we’ve always been about building connections and collections of resources to support our clients. Whether it’s traditional concierge services or cutting-edge AI integration, our foundation remains the same: exceptional service.
The Bottom Line
Client loyalty isn’t about having the perfect product or the lowest price. It’s about genuinely caring for your clients’ success and being willing to go the extra mile – every single day.
As I shared in my NashvilleVoyager interview, “You know you’re in business when someone wants to pay you for your work!” But you know you’re in the right business when clients trust you with their success year after year.

What’s been your secret to building lasting client relationships? I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments below.
Chase Happiness Through a Service-First Focus
Why More Businesses Should Put Service First
In today’s fast-paced world, it’s tempting to lead with productivity, pricing, or product features. But real, lasting business success often starts somewhere quieter — somewhere more human: with how you make people feel.
That’s why I believe more businesses should adopt a service-first mindset.
I’ve spent the past twenty-five plus years building a brand that puts people first — not as a gimmick, but as a way of doing life and business. At The Concierge Office Suites®, our model was built around anticipating needs, showing care, and creating space for people to do their best work.
We didn’t just set out to lease office space. We set out to build relationships.
That’s what true service does. It builds trust. Loyalty. Connection.
And that’s what keeps people coming back — not just for what you offer, but for how you make them feel while you’re offering it.
What Does It Mean to Chase Happiness Fiercely… in Business?
Chasing happiness fiercely means refusing to settle for surface-level success.
It’s not about putting on a smile for branding purposes or trying to manufacture joy in a customer service script. It’s about infusing care and purpose into every interaction, every moment, every decision.
At The Concierge Office Suites®, this mindset runs deep. The business was founded on a mission to support business professionals with highly personalized, proactive service — taking a cue from a hotel concierge concept and applying it to an office environment.
When I came to work here in 1999, I knew we had something special. I focused on truly integrating the concierge concept by really listening to our clients’ needs and creating meaningful business and personal connections. It wasn’t just about renting space — it was about serving people well.
That focus only deepened when I purchased the business in 2006 from the founder and made it my mission to expand the model without ever losing the heart behind it. The result? A trusted environment where people feel seen, supported, and valued every day.
What Happens When You Serve Fiercely
When you lead with service — I mean genuine, people-first, eyes-wide-open service — the results go far beyond your bottom line.

You start building something deeper: trust, loyalty, and community.
At The Concierge Office Suites®, we’ve had clients stay with us for over 20 years. That kind of loyalty doesn’t come from flashy marketing or low prices — it comes from consistency, care, and a culture of intentional connection.
We’re not just answering calls or managing meeting rooms.
We’re remembering names and life events.
We’re paying attention to how someone takes their coffee.
We’re noticing when someone needs a quiet space… or a little encouragement.
These might sound like small things. But they create a ripple effect.
When people feel cared for trust is built. They want to stay because they know you have their back.
And when a business becomes a place where people want to be — where they feel seen — that’s not just good service.
That’s good business.
And it’s not just about the clients. When your team is empowered to care — to take initiative, to build real relationships — they find more joy in their work, too. You create a workplace where service isn’t an obligation — it’s a source of pride.
That’s the magic.
The Takeaway: Build Something That Feels Good for Everyone
If there’s one thing I’ve learned after years of growing The Concierge Office Suites®, it’s this:
You don’t have to choose between professionalism and warmth.
You don’t have to choose between structure and soul.
You can build a business that feels good for everyone — including you.
When you serve fiercely — with intention, care, and consistency — your business becomes more than a service provider. It becomes a trusted partner. A steady presence. A place where people feel confident, comfortable, and connected.
And that, to me, is chasing happiness fiercely in action.
So whether you’re just starting out, pivoting your business, or reimagining how you lead — ask yourself:
- Are you building something that brings people peace of mind?
- Are you creating experiences that reflect how much you care?
- Does it bring you joy, too?
Because service isn’t about perfection.
It’s about showing up.
And when you show up with heart, happiness has a way of finding you — and staying with you.

We’d love to welcome you to The Concierge Office Suites®. Where hospitality meets professionalism — and people come first.
