Lean In WomenGroundBreakers

Women in over 170 countries have joined the Lean In community

Lean In Circle participants meet in small groups about once a month to support each other and learn new skills. Our local Chattanooga Circle meets specifically to lift each other up for our careers and our businesses. We talk openly about our ambitions and encourage each other to take on new challenges. Together, we are going further and standing up for equality.

The Lean In movement is based upon the New York Times bestselling book, “Lean In: Women, Work, and the Will to Lead” by TED speaker and author Sheryl Sandberg, who previously worked at Google and now works at Facebook as COO and is a member of the board of directors. The book gives a compelling perspective about women in the workplace. It encourages women to pursue their ambitions and to change the conversation from what women can’t do to what they can do.

The founder of WomenGroundBreakers, Deborah Levine, affiliated with the Lean In movement and created of the Chattanooga Circle. In September 2016 she passed on the baton to Mrs. Denise Reed because of her active involvement in this and other associations focused on the development and support of women in Chattanooga, TN. Mrs. Levine’s book, “Religious Diversity at Work,” was launching and she would be dedicating herself to her speaking tour. Mrs. Levine wanted to leave Lean In WomenGroundBreakers in the experienced hands of Mrs. Reed to keep lifting up more women in Chattanooga, TN.

Our monthly Lean In WomenGroungBreakers Mastermind Circles are intended to be small groups of welcoming and closely knit participants, it’s not a business card sling-fest. Check out all the educational materials and expert video series available on the Lean In website. We want to encourage participants with a-ha moments and tools, create problem-solving feedback, offer accountability and goal setting to keep us moving forward!

We share our event schedules through Eventbrite and in our private Facebook Group. We have over 1,000 participants in our private Facebook Group. Come join the online conversation or attend one of our Circles!
